About Surat Rahman:

Surat ar-Rahman, or al-Rahman, is the 55th sura of the Quran with 78 verses. It emphasizes the blessings bestowed upon humanity and jinn by Allah and admonishes them for their lack of gratitude.

This sura describes the resources provided by Allah, such as fruits, palm trees, grain, plants, water, pearls, and ships. It highlights how Allah taught humanity to communicate and gave them the Quran as a guide to righteousness. Yet mankind is chastised for not acknowledging their indebtedness to Allah and failing to appreciate His mercy.

The punishment for this ingratitude is briefly mentioned, while the rest of the sura describes the delights of paradise. The vivid descriptions of luxuriant rewards are meant to contrast with the ungratefulness of humanity.
